What fantastic trails we have in India. All distances, all levels of elevation gain, many regions and locations!

Below you find a table of trailrunning events in India over the coming 12 months. To find out more and register click on the link in the event name.

• If there is a “ca.” before the date, it means that the actual date for this year has not yet been set. Click on the respective link to see if there has been an update since I last edited the table.
• Distances are rounded (e.g. 42 km instead of 42.2 km marathon length).
• “Elevation gain”, often referred to as “D+”,  specifies how many meters you have to run (or walk) up during the run – usually implying that you have to also go down the same, unless start and finish are not identical. The first number refers to the first distance in the column to the left and so on.
• “Accr.” refers to either ITRA (the International Trail Running Association, which is partnering with World Athletics to organise the  trail running world championships) or the UTMB Group (the profit-oriented company that organises the Ultra Trail Mont Blanc, widely considered the crown jewel of trail runs) accrediting the run. This means that your performance is included in the computation of the respective ITRA or UMTB ranking, which in turn might qualify you to take part in some of the bigger global races or competitions. The races are not organised by ITRA or UTMB, they just receive a fee to allow use their brand, which attracts more participants while guaranteeing a very high level of professionalism in the event organisation.
